Is WorksheetSmith free?
Yes — the core worksheet generator is free and always will be. Signed-in free accounts get 10 worksheet generations per day (UTC) and 5 saved worksheets. Anonymous visitors get 3 generations per day. For heavy users, we offer an optional Pro subscription at $5.99/month or $49.99/year that raises the generation limit to 60/day, allows 500 saved worksheets, and removes all ads.
What do I get with Pro?
Pro subscribers get 60 worksheet generations per day (up from 10), can save up to 500 worksheets (up from 5), and browse the entire site ad-free. All other features — subjects, PDF quality, LaTeX compilation, file uploads — are identical between Free and Pro. Pro is a convenience upgrade for heavy users, not a gate on features.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The worksheet builder and PDF preview run in your web browser. LaTeX compilation runs on our servers using a full TeX Live installation — nothing to download or install.
What file format is the output?
WorksheetSmith produces PDF worksheets formatted for US Letter paper, ready to print or share digitally.
Can I use the worksheets in my classroom?
Yes. Worksheets you generate are yours to use for personal, classroom, or tutoring purposes. Because problems are created with the help of an AI model, you should always review the PDF for accuracy and appropriateness before distributing it to students.
Why does the first worksheet take longer to generate?
LaTeX compilation runs on our servers. The first compile after a quiet period may take a few extra seconds while the compiler starts; later generations in the same session are much quicker.
Can I upload my own notes or past exams?
Yes. You can upload PDF, Word, plain text, or image files as reference material. WorksheetSmith uses them to tailor topics and style. Uploaded content is processed only to generate your worksheet; see our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
Are the problems always correct?
No system is perfect. Generated content may contain mistakes. WorksheetSmith is an educational aid, not a substitute for professional judgment. Always verify problems and answers before using them for grading or assessment. If generation fails, the PDF looks wrong, or something seems out of place, read Accuracy & limitations (linked in the site footer) and contact us with what you saw.
What subjects and topics are supported?
WorksheetSmith supports mathematics, science, English, social studies, foreign languages, computer science, and more — from kindergarten through graduate school. The form includes presets for common subjects and courses; you can also choose Other / Custom and type any subject, course, or topic.
What if LaTeX compilation fails or the PDF looks wrong?
Try simplifying your topic or options and generate again. Unusual symbols, very long instructions, or edge-case formatting can occasionally fail. If a problem persists, contact us via the contact page with a short description of what you tried.
Does WorksheetSmith work on phones and tablets?
The site is usable on many mobile browsers, but the layout is optimized for desktops and laptops. For the best experience compiling and previewing PDFs, we recommend a recent version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge on a computer.
Who can see my worksheet prompts and uploads?
Your configuration and any uploads are sent to our servers and to an AI API to produce LaTeX. If you are signed in, worksheet content is associated with your account so you can save and revisit it. We do not store prompts or uploads beyond what is needed to fulfil each request. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Cancel anytime from your account page or the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep full Pro access until that date and are not charged again. There are no cancellation fees.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. We offer a full refund within 14 days of your initial charge. Renewal refunds are handled case by case. Contact us via the contact page with your account email to request a refund. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
